Villa del Balbianello

Villa Balbianello is one of the most beautiful and romantic mansions of Lake Como. It wanted in the eighteenth century by Cardinal Durini, over the years this Villa hosted writers and travelers who have found inspiration. A beautiful garden surrounds the Villa, which ward valuable furnishings and the Shipments Museum of Guido Monzino, the last owner of this beautiful mansions. [source: FAI]

Villa Cipressi

Its beautiful botanical garden covers several levels and offers an enchanting view of the central part of Lake Como. It belonged first to the noble family of snakes (late eighteenth century) and then the Andreossi family who took care of the park and finally Sir Astley and Sir Salton (early XX century). It was then passed on to the editor Accame. Various governmental offices including the town of Varenna now own the Villa, which is used as a hotel. [source: LakeComo]

Villa d’Este

Villa d’Este, originally known as Villa del Garovo, is a Renaissance aristocratic residence located on the shores of Lake Como in the town of Cernobbio. Both the villa and the 25-acre park surrounding originally used as a summer residence for the Cardinal of Como have undergone substantial changes. In 1873 it was converted into a luxury hotel. Villa Regina Teodolinda

The Villa is situated in the enchanting setting of Laglio, a small town on Lake Como, already famous as a holiday home of some international stars.
